The street artist Mowcka started winning admirers in London for her playful paste up and occasionally painted characters from about 2016.

From the hand-painted pasteups on the streets you’d never know that Mowcka has been working with wood since pre university days. Working in wood allows Mowcka to break the flat surface and the works presented explore transformation, motion, light and shade. The work is emotional, revealing, experimental, liberating and presented as a progression which will be explored further in a forthcoming show.

The show is currently running until 25th Jan and Mowcka may be painting live in the gallery space. Mowcka will also be making further contribution in her role as one of Shoreditch Street Art Tour‘s expert guides.
